1. Equipment and Uniforms: Bottom half of
the goalkeeper's uniform may now be GRAY in addition to black or
the team's predominant color.
2. Time Factors and Scoring: The 10 goal rule is still in effect
and no timeout is called for a redraw.
3. Play of the game:
-If the ball goes out of bounds and the goalie is the closet to
her circle, then she is awarded the ball and remains in her
circle for the restart -On a SHOT, the shooter may follow
through with her crosse over the goal circle. Her feet must not
touch the goal circle. Her shooting motion must be initiated
from OUTSIDE the goal circle.
-It is the shooters responsibility not to hit the goalie even if
the goalie steps toward the shot. If the shooter hits the goalie
with her follow through, she will be carded for dangerous follow
through. -On a SHOT, the player(s) directly defending the
shooter may reach into the goal circle with the crosse to block
the shot or check the shooter's crosse. The defenders feet must
not touch the goal circle. -FOLLOW THROUGH ON A SHOT IS NOT
PERMITTED BELOW THE 9th GRADE LEVEL
4. Fouls: A player must not deliberately impede, accelerate, or
change the direction of the ball using any part of their body.
Rule adjustments, clarifications, and interpretations:
1. Play of the game:
-Play has stopped and no foul is involved in the stoppage: play
is restarted at the spot of the ball; no moving players 8 m from
goal circle or 4 m from the boundary line.
2. Wording adjustments made to sections dealing with misconduct:
-A player receiving a 2nd yellow card will be removed from the
game and prohibited from returning
-2 yellow cards NO longer equals a red
-A 2nd yellow card will be shown by raising 2 fingers in the air
and holding a yellow card in the other hand -A RED card will
only be shown when a player's actions warrant an immediate
suspension from the game
3. Holding the crosse horizontally does not warrant a foul- it
is what the player does with the stick that will determinate if
a foul is committed
