WPIAL D1 Runnerups
Qualify for PIAA's for the 1st Time
May 27th: Seneca Valley Girls played a strong game against Franklin Regional in the WPIAL D1 Championship Game, but lost 7-5. Even with this tough loss, SV had their best WPIAL playoff run finishing as WPIAL Runnerups. Seneca Valley qualifies for the PIAA playoffs for the first time. The Lady Raiders take on Penn Manor on June 1st at 4:00PM at Franklin Regional High School Stadium. Come out and support SV in their PIAA debut.
WPIAL Championship Set!
Seneca Valley will play Franklin Regional in the WPIAL D1 Championship Game on Thursday, May 27th at 7PM at North Hills Stadium. Come out and support the Lady Raiders as they go for their first WPIAL Championship. Good Luck!!!

Varsity Beats Mt Lebo WPIAL Semi's
May 25th: The Lady Raiders beat Mt Lebanon 12-10 to win its first semifinal playoff game in the program's history. SV will face Franklin Regional to battle for its first WPIAL Championship. By winning in the semi's the Lady Raiders automatically qualified for the PIAA playoffs which is also a first for the program. Fantastic job everyone.

Varsity Drops Peters in WPIAL Quarters
May 20th: In closely played game, the Seneca Valley Lady Raiders beat Peters 16-13 in the WPIAL Playoff Quarter Finals. This is only the second playoff game win for Seneca Valley Girls' Lacrosse in it's history and first win against Peters. Great job by the players and coaches.

How to Get Your Photos Posted on the Website
Getting your photos posted on the SV Girls' Lacrosse website is easy to do. The best way is to setup a Picasa account in Google. This isn't hard to do even for the less computer savy. After you setup your Picasa account, upload your pictures and then share them with webmaster@svgirlslax.com. This will allow us to download them and get them posted. No photo editing is needed either.
Get those pictures off of your camera and on to the website!

Senior Night is scheduled on Tuesday, April 27th against Shaler. The Varsity Banquet will be held on Thursday, June 3rd. More info soon.

The budget for the SVGLB for the 2010 season will be voted for approval on April 7th in the Cranberry Township Municipal Building Library Meeting Room at 7PM. Click here for the budget.

Youth Registration for 2010 Spring Season
Youth registration for grades 5th and 6th will take place on January 5th at the Cranberry Municipal Building in room 1 from 7:00 to 8:30pm. Apparel samples will be on display for any player wishing to place an order and get it back prior to the official start of the spring season. A second and final registration date will take place on January 26th at the Cranberry Municipal Building in Council Chambers. Again apparel will be on display and orders will be taken.

Pre-Season Tune Up
Lacrosse Pre-Season Tune-up Opportunity for Middle School, JV, and Varsity level players to work on their skills prior to the official start of the season in March.
When: Sundays starting January 10th, 2010 for 8 weeks
Times: 7:45 am to 4:45 pm at the Southpointe Iceoplex
Seneca Valley Girls Lacrosse Boosters has committed to organizing three teams: Middle School, JV, and Varsity. The 3 Rivers Lacrosse Pre-Season Team Tune-Up is designed to give teams the opportunity to begin playing together! All games are played in a box format which encourages quick decision making, skills under pressure, and tight defensive footwork. Each team will consist of 17 players. Because of the tight timeframe required for reserving team spots, middle school players (grades 7 & 8) need to contact Mary Sonson at sontwice@zoominternet.net and JV and Varsity players (grades 9 thru 12) need to contact Nancy Roche at nroche@zbzoom.net as the deadline for reserving individual spots on one of these teams is December 12th and the deadline for payment is December 15th.
2010 High School Winter Conditioning Workout Schedule
From Coach Hughes:
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving Break! The holidays are quickly approaching and that means when we get back from winter break we will begin our winter workouts :) Please see me in Room 149 of the IHS to pick up a winter conditioning schedule for January and February. It will also be posted on the website within the next week or so. I am giving you the schedule one month in advance so if you work and need to schedule off for any particular day you should have ample time to do so. I strongly suggest that anyone interested in trying out for the 2010 team attend these practices, but they are not mandatory. Attendance will not be taken. Please bring all of your equipment (MOUTH GUARDS ARE MANDATORY) and wear sneakers when we are indoors. Hope to see you there!
