Lady Raiders Lose to Mount Lebanon in Semi's
May 27, 2008: The Lady Raiders
took on Mount Lebanon in the semi-finals of the WPIAL playoffs.
After falling to a 6-2 deficit at the end of the first half, the girls
fought hard before losing 10-7. Even with the loss the
Lady Raiders have proven they are team to be taken seriously in the
future. Congratulations to the team and coaches for a well
played game and a successful season.
Lindsay Flavion broke the school scoring
record previously held by Erin Bernhard (111) by scoring 3 goals
in the game. She ended her career with 114 goals.

Seneca Valley Advances in the Playoffs
May 22, 2008: The Lady Raiders
defeated Quaker Valley 10-9 in the first round of the WPIAL
playoffs. The lead was traded throughout the game with the
score tied 8-8 after regulation. After two 3 minute
periods were played in overtime, Seneca Valley was on top with the 10-9
victory. The next game is the semi-finals and will be on
Tuesday, May 27th at 7:30PM at North Hills Stadium against Mount
Lebanon. Great Job and Good Luck!!!!
Lindsay Flavion tied the school career
scoring record of 111 held by Erin Bernhard during the game. Congratulations
Lindsay and everyone is hoping you break it by a lot during the
next game.

New Section Alignments for 2009
Click
here for
the new alignment for the 2009 WPIAL Sections. We are in
Section 2 for Division 1. There will be WPIAL
championships for both Division 1 and Division 2. Only the
Division 1 winners will be able to move on to the PIAA
Championship. 2009 will be the first state championship
tournament for girls' lacrosse.

Lady Raiders Fall to FR, Get Ready for Playoffs
May 14, 2008: On a cold, wet
evening the Lady Raiders lost their last regular season game to
Franklin Regional. Seneca Valley took a 1-0 lead off of
the opening faceoff, but quickly fell behind 8-2 to end the
half. The Lady Raiders rallied in the second half to get
within 2 goals, before losing 14-10. They ended the
regular season 13-5 overall, 10-0 in section. The JV won
and finished the season 15-0 overall, 9-0 in section. The
Lady Raiders next game is the quarterfinals of the WPIAL
playoffs. No information on seeding, opponent, or location
is available yet. Great job this year girls! Good
luck in the playoffs!
Seneca Valley Girls Undefeated for Second Year in Section
May 13, 2008: The Varsity and
JV finished undefeated in the section play for the second year
in a row. Both teams had convincing and dominate wins over
Butler. The Varsity's section record for the last three
years is a combined 29-1. The Lady Raiders play a tough
Franklin Regional team next as they prepare for the WPIAL
playoffs.

Lady Raiders Clinch Section Title Against Pine Richland
May 8, 2008: Seneca Valley
Girls' Lacrosse had many reasons to celebrate tonight. The
JV continued their impressive two year unbeaten streak by
defeating Pine Richland. Between the JV and Varsity games,
we recognized our impressive group of Seniors. After the
emotional Senior Night, the Lady Raiders beat Pine Richland
10-5. This victory clinched the 2008 Section 1 title.
This is the third consecutive section title for the Lady
Raiders. Congratulations to the Seniors, players, coaches,
and parents on an exciting evening for Seneca Valley Girls'
Lacrosse.

Middle School Wins Three More
May 7, 2008: The Junior Lady
Raiders added three more wins to their record by beating
Pittsburgh Youth Lacrosse, Hampton, and Mount Lebanon in the
last week. This takes their record to 12-1. Great
job!

May 2, 2008: The Varsity lost
a tough game to Quaker Valley 10-6. The first half was
hard fought with the score tied 3-3 at half time. Quaker
Valley pulled away in the second half to take the win. The
JV continued their unbeaten streak with a win over Quaker
Valley's JV.

Lady Raiders Beat North Hills
May 1, 2008: The Varsity and
JV both remained unbeaten in section play with strong wins over
North Hills. The next game is on Friday at Quaker Valley
who beat the Varsity in the WPIAL playoffs last year.

Varsity Opens Second Half of Section Play with Win
April 30, 2008: The Varsity
beat North Allegheny 18-9 to open the second half of section
play. The Lady Raiders showed no rust after not playing
for 8 days. This win moves their record to 6-0 in section
play, 9-3 overall. The JV game was cancelled due to
scheduling conflicts. Both teams take on North Hills on
Thursday.

Middle School Continues to Dominate
April 25, 2008: The Middle
School beat Shaler 13-9 to take their record to 9-1. The
April 26th game against East End has been cancelled. The
next game is May 1st against a strong Mt. Lebanon team.

April 23, 2008: The Junior Lady
Raiders continue to dominate their opponents. The latest
win was against Butler. The final score was 13-4.
This takes the Middle School's record to 8-1.

Lady Raiders Take Two From Butler
April 21, 2008: Both the
Varsity and JV had dominating wins over Butler as they completed
the first half of section play 5-0. The JV won 13-1 and
the Varsity won 15-6. The Lady Raiders are off until April
29th when they take on NA at home.

April 19, 2008: The Middle
School beat Hampton 13-6 to take their record to 7-1. Here
are photos from some past games.

Seneca Valley On Top In Section Play
April 17, 2008: The Lady
Raiders faced a strong Pine Richland team on the road to
determine the leader of Section 1. Seneca Valley started
out very strong on defense holding Pine Richland scoreless for
more than the first 10 minutes of play. The offense kept
the pressure up scoring 5 goals before Pine Richland's first
goal. The game continued back and forth in the second half
with the Lady Raiders finishing strong with an 8-5 victory.
This moves their record to 4-0 in section play and on top of the
section. The JV started the evening out with another
convincing win over Pine Richland's JV. This takes their
section record to 4-0 as well, 8-0 overall. The JV has now
not lost a game in their last 21 games since the start of the
2006 season. Great job by both teams. The next game
is at home on Monday against Butler.

Middle School Takes Record to 6-1
April 16, 2008: Butler is the
latest team to fall to the Junior Lady Raiders. It was a
close game, but SV prevailed with the final score was 13-10.

April 15, 2008: Both the
Varsity and JV had strong games against Shaler. The JV
continued their unbeaten streak by winning 11-1. The
Varsity won 15-1. The V/JV meet Pine Richland on
Thursday, April 16th.

Middle School Dominates NA
April 14, 2008: The Middle
School girls won convincingly over North Allegheny's MS team
12-5. This takes their record to 5-1. The game with
North Hills was rained out and is being rescheduled.

North Hills Falls to the Lady Raiders
April 10, 2008: The JV opened
a beautiful evening for lacrosse with another dominating win.
The JV beat North Hills JV 15-2 taking their undefeated record
to 6-0. The Varsity responded by beating North Hills 13-4.
The Lady Raiders started slowly, but pulled away in the second
half while shutting down the North Hills offense. Both the
Varsity and JV are 2-0 in section play.

Varsity and JV Open Section Play With Wins Over NA
April 8, 2008: The Lady
Raiders opened section play with two strong wins over North
Allegheny. The JV continued their undefeated ways by
topping the NA JV 8-4. The Varsity came our strong and won
10-3. Next game is against North Hills at home on
Thursday.

Spring Trip Ends in a Split
April 5, 2008: The Varsity
completed its Eastern PA trip with a 1-1 record. The first
game was against a tough Pottsgrove team and ended in a 10-5
loss. Later in the day, the Lady Raiders took on Southern
Lehigh and won a close game 10-8. The Varsity and JV open
section play this Tuesday at North Allegheny. For photos

Varsity and JV Win Against Baldwin
April 1, 2008: Both the
Varsity and JV beat Baldwin with impressive victories as they
get ready for the opening of section play next week. The
JV opened the evening with 10-0 shutout and the Varsity posted a
12-2 victory. Good luck to the Varsity when they travel
this weekend to play Pottsgrove and Southern Lehigh in Eastern
PA.

March 31, 2008: The Middle
School Girls moved their record to 2-1 with a close win over
North Hills. Final score was 10-8. Good job!

win on Friday over North Allegheny 16-2.

Peters Tops Seneca Valley, JV Wins
March 28, 2008: The Lady
Raiders JV opened the night by topping Peters JV 3-1. The
Varsity faced off against Peters who is the defending WPIAL
Champion. After a strong start by Seneca Valley with the
score tied 2-2, Peters rallied to a 17-10 win. Click

Lady Raiders Back to Winning Ways Against Bethel Park
March 27, 2008: The JV
continued their undefeated streak going back to last year with a
strong win against Bethel Park. The Varsity
Girls refocused their efforts after the Fox Chapel game in a
lopsided win over Bethel Park. The Lady Raiders came out
strong and never let up while winning 21-2. Click

Varsity Loses Opener to Fox Chapel
March 24, 2008: The Varsity
opened its season with a close 8-7 loss to Fox Chapel. The
Lady Raiders rallied from a 3 goal deficit late in the game, but
fell one goal short. The JV continued their winning ways
with a solid win over Fox Chapel's JV.

Lady Raiders Play Two Strong Scrimmages
March 19, 2008: The SV Lady
Raider's have played two strong scrimmages to get ready for the
regular season. On March 13th, Knoch visited Seneca
Valley. Both the Varsity and JV played strong games.
On March 19th, the Lady Raiders played Upper St. Clair on a
cold, wet afternoon. Both teams played well against a
strong, high ranked USC team. Pictures from both games are
posted on the website. The Lady Raiders open the season at
Fox Chapel on Monday March 24th.
