With a short handed roster, the MS Lady Raiders were still able
to defeat North Allegheny. This was a big win for them as

Playing Left Handed and Wall Ball Information
April 8, 2009:
Being able to play left handed as well as right handed will make
you a better and more dominate player. Youth and Middle
School players should start to develop their off-hand as early
as possible. Learning how to pass, catch, and shoot with
both hands at a young age is more important than winning.
Do these on your own with wall ball drills. Here are some web links to help (may take a few seconds to
load).

offensive end for most of the game. The Lady Raiders made
a comeback from a 5 goal deficit, tying the score in the second
half by relying on fast breaks to score. With less than
two minutes in the game, Pine Richland went up 14-13 and won the

Booster Fees
All Varsity, JV, and Middle School
players need to turn in the $75 booster fee to their team parent by
Friday, March 20th. Per school rules this is not mandatory, but it
is important for providing each player a meal prior to each away
game and paying for each player's banquet costs. Team parents for
the Varsity and JV are Carol Fronzaglio and Sherry Puskar. For the
Middle School the team parent is Mary Sonson.
Concession Stand Information
The concession stand will be open
for the first SV Girls' Lacrosse home scrimmage on Wednesday,
March 18th against Upper St. Clair. The stand will be run as in
the past with two JV parents working the Varsity game and two
Varsity parents working the JV game. (See
schedule)There are a few instances where you might find your
name twice. Thank you in advance for your extra contribution.
If you cannot work your assigned game, you must find your own
sub or switch with another parent, and then let me know of any
changes.
When you are scheduled to work,
each parent needs to bring either a hot food/dish which will be
sold at the concession stand. Some suggestions for cold weather
games are chili, pierogies, soup, kielbasa, hot sausage or ham
bbq, anything that would be satisfying on a chilly or downright
frigid afternoon. As it gets warmer, walking tacos, hoagies, or
pre-grilled hamburgers are great. If you choose to bring a
dessert, most anything will go over well. Please e-mail
Jen Semel with what
you plan to bring--last year we had double ham bbq on several
occasions.
Please see the
donation list for Gatorade and Pepsi products. Each high
school girl is asked to donate 2 cubes (48 total cans) of an
assigned Pepsi product or 1 case (24 bottles) of 20 oz. Gatorade
(to be sold at the concession stand or for the girls to have
during games.) Please refer to the list as to your assigned
donation. Bring your drinks marked with your name to the
concession stand on March 18th during or prior to the game.
Photo Days Scheduled
The photo days are March 23-Middle
School and March 24-V/JV. Teams have games on these days,
so pictures will be taken prior to the games.
