Middle School Lacrosse Camp July 23-29

Seneca Valley Girls Lacrosse is holding a Middle School Girls Lacrosse Camp from July 23-29.  The camp is being run by Karyn Brooks, SV Head Coach.  Players from the 2007 Section Championship team will be assisting.  This camp is a great way to see what lacrosse is all about if you don't have any experience.  If you are already playing lacrosse you will be able to improve your lacrosse skills during the camp.  This camp is open to participants who will be entering 5th-8th grades in the 2007-2008 school year.  Click here for more information and to download the registration form.

SV Beats Butler to Finish Undefeated in Section

JV Finishes Season Undefeated

May 17, 2007:  The Seneca Valley Girls Varsity and JV Lacrosse teams completed successful regular seasons.  The JV team showed that the future is bright for Seneca Valley by going 12-0-1.  Most of the JV wins were by large margins and helped motivate the Varsity for their games.  The Varsity took an early 6-0 lead, but had to fight back against a charging Butler team.  The Lady Raiders held the lead and won the game 9-7.  The Varsity completed a 16-2 regular season and is undefeated in section play.  They will be playing in the WPIAL playoffs on May 24th.  Opponent, location and time TBD.  (Butler Eagle game article)

Varsity Falls to Seton-La Salle

May 16 2007:  The Lady Raiders played one of the top teams in the WPIAL tonight.  The SV Girls played Seton-La Salle close the entire game including tying the score late in the game 6-6.  Seton-La Salle pulled away late for a 11-7 victory.

Lady Raiders Clinch Section Title Against Pine Richland

May 14, 2007:  The Seneca Valley Girls Lacrosse team clinched their second section championship tonight by winning against Pine Richland.  Once again, the JV kept their undefeated record intact by besting PR's JV.  Their aggressive play all year has been fun to watch.  The Varsity took the field against Pine Richland ready to defend last year's section title.  The first half saw both teams trading goals with SV taking a two goal lead into halftime.  The fast paced SV style began to wear out Pine Richland in the second half.  Our Lady Raiders won the game 13-9 and with that win are Section 1 Champions for the second year in a row (photos).

Senior Night a Triple Crown Against North Allegheny

May 10, 2007:  Three big events occurred tonight as the Lady Raiders battled North Allegheny during Senior Night.  First, we celebrated the accomplishments of Carly Conrad who is the only Senior on this year's lacrosse team (photos).  Good luck to Carly and thanks for her hard work and leadership.  Second, the JV continued their unbeaten season by beating North Allegheny's JV 10-6.  As been the case all year, the SV JV sets the tone for the rest of the evening's play (photos).  Third, the Varsity took the field ready for the hard checking, aggressive play that was seen in the first game.  The Lady Raiders quickly took the fight out of NA and dominated the game 10-3 (photos).  Great job on taking two wins against NA and celebrating Carly's Senior Night.

MS Girls Finish Regular Season With Sweep of PR

May 9, 2007:  The SV Middle School A and B Teams ended a successful regular season by taking two games against Pine Richland.  The MS-A team won a close game 8-7 and the MS-B team dominated the game winning 13-7.  Congratulations to both teams on their seasons.  Good luck at the St. Vincent Play Day on May 19th.
